How We're Adapting AI at Ananzi — and How You Should Too

People ask us often enough now that it's worth writing down properly: how does an agency actually fold AI into its day-to-day work without the output turning generic, and without clients noticing corners being cut? Here's our honest playbook, not the polished version.
Where we've plugged AI in
First-draft ad copy and creative variants for testing. Scaffolding for new app features and websites. First-pass reporting and data summaries. Research and competitive analysis. In every one of these, AI cuts the time to a usable first draft dramatically — often by half or more.
Where we deliberately keep humans fully in charge
Client strategy and budget decisions. Brand voice and any copy that goes out under a client's name. Anything involving compliance, legal claims, or financial/health-related messaging. And critically — the final review of anything AI touched, before it reaches a client. We treat AI output the way we'd treat a very fast junior team member's first draft: useful, often good, never assumed correct.
How we trained the team
We didn't hand out AI tool subscriptions and hope for the best. We built internal guidelines — what AI is good for at each stage of a project, what needs senior review regardless of how good it looks, and a shared library of prompts and examples so the whole team isn't reinventing the wheel individually. That documentation is honestly still a living thing we update most weeks.
What we'd tell any Kerala business starting this journey
Start with the boring, repetitive parts of your work — first-draft reports, routine content, initial research — not the parts that define your brand or require real judgment. Keep a human reviewing everything that reaches a customer, at least for now. And measure the actual outcome, not the speed: faster output that's slightly worse isn't a win, it's a trade you may not have noticed you made.
We're not done figuring this out — nobody in this industry is. But that's the honest, current version of how Ananzi is using AI, and we'd rather tell you that plainly than sell you a buzzword.
